There is no charging dock, no cable and no week of dim output before someone remembers to plug it in; when the light fades, three fresh cells restore full output in a minute.

That choice pairs with the runtime figures: up to 200 hours at full brightness and around 600 hours at the lowest setting means a pair used for an hour or two each evening runs for months on one set of batteries. The supplied LED bulbs carry a rated life of up to 40,000 hours, so the consumable in this system is the cells, not the lamp.

Giving the remote three color temperatures rather than a single warm output is what makes a battery sconce usable in more than one room. LIGHTEXP sets the range at 3000K for bedrooms, 4000K for hallways and working spaces, and 6000K for task use, with brightness adjustable in fine steps from 20% upward so the lowest setting can stay on overnight without lighting the whole room.

Where It Works Best

Bedroom — light at the bedside without a socket. Flanking a bed in a room with no outlet where you want it, the pair gives each side its own light controlled from the pillow, and the 3000K setting at 20% is low enough to leave on through the night as a guide light for a child's room. The remote means neither person has to reach behind a headboard to switch off. The vintage form works with a wooden or upholstered bed frame and painted walls. Bedroom layouts for different bed widths are shown in the Design Inspiration & Ideas section.

Hallway and stair — light where there is no wiring. Older houses frequently have corridors and staircases with no fixture at all, and this pair solves that without touching the electrical system: mount, fit the batteries, and the space is lit. Set 4000K at a mid level for passing through, and use the remote from the top or bottom of the stairs. Because the units are independent, one can be placed at the turn of a staircase and the other halfway along a hallway. Mounting heights for circulation spaces are covered in the Lighting Design Guides.

Porch, home office and power cuts. On a covered porch or in a garden room, the pair adds evening light without an outdoor-rated cable run, and in a home office it can fill a dark corner behind a desk. When a storm takes the power out, these are the lights that still work, and the 6000K setting is the practical one for finding things in a basement or a fuse box. For coordinating fixtures in the rest of the house, the Full Lighting Collection includes further wall and ceiling pieces. See whether the pair suits the rooms you have in mind.

Frequently Asked Questions

How difficult is installation, and what tools are needed?

Installation is a screwdriver job: the mounting hardware is included and the sconce fixes to the wall with no mains wiring involved, so no electrician is required. Mark the fixing points with a pencil and a level, use anchors suited to your wall type, then fit three AA batteries into each unit. The whole job for a pair is well under an hour.

What bulb does it take, and is it dimmable?

A bulb is supplied with each sconce, so nothing further needs to be bought; the bulbs carry a rated life of up to 40,000 hours. Brightness adjusts from 20% to 100% using the included remote, which also selects between 3000K, 4000K and 6000K. The remote operates at up to 32 inches from the fixture.

What size space will the pair suit?

Overall fixture dimensions are not specified by the manufacturer, so plan by use: these are accent and task lights for flanking a bed, a mirror or a run of hallway rather than primary lighting for a large room. Because they are wireless, spacing is limited only by wall space and remote range, which is stated as 32 inches from the unit.

How do I clean and care for the sconces?

Dust the body and shade with a dry cloth, and avoid solvents or spray cleaners, which can mark an unknown finish and may leave residue that attracts dust. Remove the batteries if a sconce will sit unused for months, since cells left in place can leak. Check the battery contacts occasionally and wipe them with a dry cloth if the light becomes intermittent.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are processed within 3–5 business days. Standard delivery takes 7–15 business days, shipped in protective foam-in-box packaging with tracking provided. Both sconces ship in one carton with the bulbs and remote boxed separately inside, so nothing rattles loose in transit. Batteries are not included.

What are the return and warranty terms?

Returns are accepted within 30 days on unused items in original packaging, which means uninstalled and with the bulbs and remote intact. The 24-month warranty covers structural components and the light module, including the fixture body, the mounting hardware and the supplied LED bulb, against defects under normal residential use. Batteries are a consumable and are not covered.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0995/3466/8143/files/61iXABk0O0L._AC_SX679_PIbundle-2_TopRight_0_0_SH20.jpg?v=1789760733
