The cylindrical shade is carved from natural alabaster — a real translucent stone, not resin or plastic. The soft, cloud-like veining is the stone's own pattern, so every column is one of a kind. Subtle variation in veining and color is the mark of genuine stone.
How high should I mount it?
As a general rule, mount the center about 60–66″ from the floor (roughly eye level). As a bedside reading light, mount a little lower (50–60″). In a hallway, space sconces 8–10 ft apart; beside a mirror, set a pair about 28–30″ apart.
How is it installed — do I need an electrician?
The sconce is hardwired to a wall electrical box (no plug or visible cord). We recommend installation by a qualified electrician for a safe, secure mount. Always switch off power at the breaker and confirm the wires are dead before any work.
