Garrick Hammered Chandelier The surface is hammered — a dimpled, faceted texture that catches light unevenly along its whole length, so the metal has depth instead of reading as a flat black line against a white ceiling.

  • Finish: Plated and polished in black, gold or nickel
  • Lampshade Color: White
  • Voltage: AC 110–240V
  • Control: Wall switch Dimmable — but it depends on the bulbs you buy. See below.
  • Metal: Brass — no iron in it, so a scratch stays a scratch rather than starting rust

Design & Materials

That texture is the reason a fixture this simple does not look plain. Six straight arms, six plain cylinders, and nothing decorative anywhere — the interest comes from the surface rather than from added ornament. Shades change the job entirely. Each cylinder here is open at the top and open at the bottom — light goes up to wash the ceiling and down to land on the table, and the sides stay soft.

A smooth black arm against a white ceiling reads as one flat line. This surface is dimpled and faceted along its whole length, so it never catches light evenly — every dent holds a small highlight and a small shadow, and the metal keeps its depth from across the room.

Good to Know

Does it dim?

That depends on your bulbs, not the fixture. Fit dimmable E26 bulbs on a compatible dimmer and it dims. Fit standard bulbs and it won't, whatever switch is on the wall. Use dimmable bulbs in every socket, not a mix.

What bulbs does it take?

[__] × E26 — the standard screw base used in most household lamps. Not included. Choose LED, 2700K warm white, and the same bulb in every socket.

Will the fabric shades yellow?

Fabric ages with heat, so use LED rather than incandescent — LED runs far cooler at the same brightness and the shades stay white for years. And if one ever does discolour, it is replaced on its own.

How do I clean the shades?

A soft dry brush or a lint roller, twice a year. Never water, a damp cloth or spray — fabric marks permanently and the stain does not come out. The metal takes a soft dry cloth.

Round or linear — which do I need?

Match the fixture to the table. Round table, round fixture. Long table or island, linear. A round chandelier over a long table lights the middle and leaves both ends dark.
