The Halden Leather Strap Alabaster Linear Chandelier does it differently. The cylinder hangs from two saddle-leather straps, each fitted with a brass buckle plate that sets the height. Not cord dressed up to look like leather: actual hide, stitched down both edges, thick enough to hold its shape and take a crease. It is a detail borrowed from tack rooms and old workshop lamps, and it changes what the fixture is. Steel reads industrial. Leather reads made.

Design & Materials
That warmth matters because of what it hangs above. Over a kitchen island or a long table, you are looking at this from eighteen inches below, every day, while you eat. A rod is a rod. A strap has stitching, a buckle, an edge that darkens where it bends — things worth looking at at close range, and things that improve as they age rather than simply getting older.
Alabaster is a natural stone, so every piece carries its own veining and subtle variation in color. The fixture you receive may therefore differ slightly from the images shown.

Good to Know
Will it fit my island?
It's 51.2″ long. Ideal over an island or table of 6 to 7 ft. Under 5 ft is too short; over 8 ft, consider two.
Is the leather real?
Yes — real hide, stitched down both edges, holding the actual weight of the fixture. Not cord wrapped to look like leather.
Will the leather wear out?
It will darken and soften where it bends. That's leather doing what leather does — most people prefer it after a year or two.
How do I set the height?
By the brass buckle on each strap — no cutting. You can change it after installation without an electrician.
Is the alabaster real stone?
Yes — natural quarried alabaster, not resin or glass. The veining in your tube belongs to one block, so yours won't match the photo exactly.
