Installation Guide Installation in Four StepsA hardwired wall sconce — tap to view the full step-by-step ⌄
1 Power Off & PositionSwitch off power at the breaker and confirm the wires are dead with a voltage tester. Hold the sconce to the wall and mark your mounting height — center about 48–52″ from the floor beside a bed. Handle the alabaster shade gently. Safety first — if unsure about wiring, hire a qualified electrician. 2 Fix the Brass BackplateSecure the hammered-brass backplate to a standard US wall junction box, using suitable wall anchors if needed. Check it sits perfectly level and vertical before wiring. 3 Connect the WiresConnect live (L), neutral (N), and ground (E) per the manual, then tuck the wires neatly into the box before fixing the fixture to the backplate. 4 Fit the Shade & Power OnAttach the alabaster shade, connect the power, and enjoy.
Is the shade real alabaster?
Yes — the shade is genuine natural alabaster, never resin or plastic. Its veining and warm glow are one of a kind, so your alabaster wall sconce has its own unique character. Slight variation between pieces is the mark of authentic stone, not a defect.
What is the arm made of?
A hand-hammered, forged-texture brass arm with a matching brass backplate. The artisanal finish gives every brass wall sconce a rich, one-of-a-kind character and develops a graceful patina over time.
Where does this sconce work best?
Its tall, torch-like form makes a striking focal point beside a bed, mirror, or fireplace, and in hallways, living rooms, and entryways. Mount two as a symmetrical pair for extra drama on either side of a bed or mirror.
How high should I mount it?
Beside a bed, center the sconce about 48–52″ from the floor; in a hallway or living room, about 60–66″; beside a mirror, at roughly eye level. For a pair, keep both at the same height for a balanced look.
