Pair of 10-Inch Clear Glass Globe Pendants with ST64 Bulbs Included

This pair of 10-inch clear glass globe pendants is for kitchens and dining spaces that want a mid-century spherical form without an opaque shade hiding the lamp. Each globe hangs from an adjustable cord that reaches 78.7 inches, so the same pair works over a low breakfast bar or under a vaulted ceiling.

Two ST64 LED bulbs ship in the box, which means the fixtures are usable the day they are installed. The 5.9-inch canopy keeps the ceiling detail small, and both flat and sloped ceilings are supported.

Design Story

A clear sphere is the most honest shade there is: nothing between the lamp and the room except glass, so the bulb is part of the composition rather than something to hide. That is why the ST64 shape is supplied — its elongated filament profile holds its own inside a 10-inch globe where a standard A-lamp would look undersized.

Ten inches is a considered diameter. It is large enough to read as a deliberate object from across a room and small enough that two of them over a 6 foot island do not crowd each other. The 5.9-inch canopy is deliberately narrower than the globe, which keeps the eye on the glass rather than on the ceiling plate.

The cord adjusts to 78.7 inches, a range wide enough to cover an 8-foot room and a two-storey entry with the same fixture. That length is set at the canopy during installation, so no cutting is involved. LIGHTEXP supplies both globes with matching canopies so a pair reads as one detail rather than two separate purchases.

Where It Works Best

Kitchen island — two globes evenly spaced. Over a 6 to 8 foot island, hang the pair about 30 to 34 inches above the stone with roughly 32 inches between centres, which leaves the sightline across the counter clear and lights the whole run. Mid-century and contemporary kitchens both suit this form: think walnut or white oak cabinetry, a pale quartz top, and simple bar stools with leather or woven seats. Drop and spacing guidance for islands is in the Lighting Design Guides.

Dining table — a pair instead of a chandelier. Two globes over a rectangular table give a lighter visual result than a central chandelier and light both ends of the table evenly, which a single central fixture rarely manages on a table longer than 6 feet. Hang them at 30 to 32 inches above the top and set them a third of the way in from each end. Clear glass keeps the ceiling line open, useful in a room with a low ceiling or a sightline you want to preserve.

Entryway or bedroom — one or both, at height. In a two-storey entry, run one globe to a longer drop and the other shorter for a staggered arrangement that fills the vertical space. In a bedroom, a globe either side of the bed at about 50 inches replaces table lamps and keeps the nightstand clear. Ceiling-height layouts are shown in Design Inspiration & Ideas, and coordinating glass fixtures for adjoining rooms are in the Full Lighting Collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does hanging the pair need an electrician?

Each pendant hardwires to a standard ceiling junction box using the supplied hardware and instructions; a screwdriver, wire strippers, and a voltage tester cover the job. The cord is set to length at the canopy during installation, so nothing needs cutting, and the canopy fits flat and sloped ceilings. If the cord arrives bent from packing, wipe it repeatedly with a cloth using light pressure to straighten it.

Which bulbs fit, and are they included?

Two ST64 LED bulbs are included, one per fixture, so there is nothing to buy before the first switch-on. The E26 sockets also accept other E26 base lamps if you want a different shape or output later. Dimmer compatibility is not published for this pair, so treat them as standard on/off switched unless your electrician confirms otherwise.

How do I confirm the 10-inch globes suit my space?

Each globe is 10 inches in diameter and the drop adjusts up to 78.7 inches, which covers standard ceilings and tall entries alike. For a kitchen island, allow roughly 32 inches between the two globes and hang them 30 to 34 inches above the counter; over a dining table, set each one about a third of the way in from either end.

How should I clean the glass globes?

Switch off and let the glass cool, then wipe each globe with a microfibre cloth, using a little glass cleaner on the cloth rather than sprayed onto the shade so nothing runs into the socket. Dry with a second cloth to avoid streaks. The canopy and cord need only a dry dusting.

When will the pair ship, and how is it packed?

Orders are processed within 3–5 business days and standard delivery takes 7–15 business days, shipped in protective foam-in-box packaging with tracking provided. Each glass globe is cushioned separately from the canopy, cord, and bulbs.

Can I return the pair, and what is covered?

Returns are accepted within 30 days on unused items in original packaging. The 24-month warranty covers structural components and the light module for both fixtures, including the canopy, cord, socket, and the supplied bulbs.
