Design & Materials
The idea came from a moonrise seen from a city street, when the moon sits exactly on the roofline: half hidden by the building, half glowing above it. The backplate is folded into a clean right angle, the sphere is cut and polished from one block of alabaster, and the two simply lean against each other with nothing else in the way.
Alabaster carries light through the stone itself, so the sphere glows evenly and the veining only appears once the sconce is switched on. Above and below it, the open plate lays two soft pools of light across the wall, which lets a small fixture light a whole corner without a single point of glare.

Yes. Each sphere is cut and polished from natural alabaster, so veining varies from piece to piece.
Will it match the photos?
Closely, but not exactly. Tone and veining differ in every stone, which is a characteristic of real stone.
Can I request a particular veining?
Yes. Tell us before you order and we will select the stone and photograph it for your approval.
Can I order a matched pair?
Yes. Choose the (*2) option and we pick two spheres that sit well together.
Does it come with a bulb?
No. It takes one G9 bulb, up to 40W, so you choose the light colour yourself.
