Design & Materials
Ottilie Sculptural Crystal Wall Sconce. A pierced brass shade, cut in an irregular cellular lattice like coral or dried honeycomb. This is the only lit element, and the piercing is what it's for — light escapes through hundreds of small openings and throws a mottled, organic shadow pattern across the wall beside it. On a plain plaster wall that pattern is half the fixture.
A faceted smoke-glass boulder, angled the other way, catching light on its cut faces and reading as dark and solid against the brass. It doesn't glow. It reflects. That is what makes a sculptural wall sconce different from a decorative one. Every element reads as a distinct material — warm metal, dark glass, clear crystal — and because they sit at opposing angles, the fixture changes completely depending on where you stand. From directly in front it's compact. From down a hallway it opens out.

Good to Know
Does it really cast a pattern on the wall?
Yes — the pierced shade throws a mottled shadow beside it. It shows best on plain pale plaster. On wallpaper, panelling or a dark wall you'll barely see it.
How big is it, really?
15″ wide and 24.4″ tall — closer to wall art than to a reading light. Leave clear wall around it.
Which parts light up?
Two: the pierced shade (which casts the pattern) and the faceted glass (which glows from inside). The crystal stays unlit.
Can I get a mirrored pair?
Yes, but tell us when you order. The design is asymmetric, so two standard fixtures will both lean the same way.
Is it real crystal?
Yes — cut and polished crystal, with smoke glass and an iron frame plated to a warm gold finish.
