What is the moon globe actually made of?

Each glowing orb is shaped from natural alabaster — a real translucent stone, not resin or plastic. The cratered, cloud-swept surface is the stone's own veining, so every globe is one of a kind. Slight variation between the two moons is natural and is the mark of genuine stone.

How high should I mount it?

As a general rule, mount the center about 60–66″ from the floor — roughly eye level. As a bedside reading light, mount a little lower toward seated eye level. In a hallway, space multiple sconces 8–10 ft apart.

How is it installed — do I need an electrician?

The sconce is hardwired to a wall electrical box (no plug or visible cord). We recommend installation by a qualified electrician for a safe, secure mount. Always switch off power at the breaker and confirm the wires are dead before any work.

What bulbs does it use, and what's the best glow?

It uses an E14 base and works with LED or Edison-style bulbs. For the warm, moonlit glow shown in our photos, we recommend a soft 2700K bulb.

Will the two moons look exactly like the photos?

Because alabaster is a natural stone, each globe carries its own unique veining and subtle color variation. Your piece shares the same character and quality shown in the photos, but the exact pattern is one of a kind — an inherent feature of natural stone, not a defect.
